Candidates applying for the post of Management Trainee (Mining) are required to pay a non-refundable application fee as specified below. The fee must be paid online only. Age Limit

| Details | Candidates must fulfill all eligibility conditions as on the closing date of online application (07-06-2026). Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply. A valid GATE-2025 score in Mining Engineering (Paper Code: MN) is mandatory - GATE scores of any other year (prior to or after 2025) will not be considered valid for this recruitment. The qualifying degree must be from a University/Institute recognized by the appropriate statutory authority in India and must be a regular full-time course. | Candidates having completed their degree or passed their final semester examination as on the cut-off date are eligible. How to Apply
- 1Applications must be submitted online only through the CIL official website www.coalindia.in under the section "Career with CIL >>> Jobs at Coal India." Hard copy applications will not be accepted under any circumstances. The online portal will be active from 08-05-2026 (10:00 AM) to 07-06-2026 (6:00 PM). Candidates are advised not to wait until the last date and to register and submit their application well within time. No modifications are allowed after the online application form is submitted. If more than one application is received from a candidate, the most recent/current application will be considered as final.
- 2All documents must be uploaded as self-attested scanned copies - scanned documents that are not clear and legible may result in rejection of candidature. Candidates must have an active email ID and mobile number valid for at least one year - no change in email ID or mobile number will be allowed after submission. Important Instructions
- Only Indian Nationals with a valid GATE-2025 score in Mining Engineering (Paper Code: MN) are eligible to apply. Qualifying degree must be regular full-time from a University/Institute recognized by appropriate statutory authority in India. No hard copy applications will be accepted - online submission only via CIL website. Application fee is non-refundable; applications submitted by unqualified candidates will be rejected. No modifications are allowed after online application is submitted - discrepancies between online data and original documents may lead to rejection. GATE scores of any year other than GATE-2025 are not valid and will not be considered. OBC (Creamy Layer) candidates must apply under General (UR) category and are not entitled to OBC (NCL) concession/reservation. OBC (NCL) caste certificate must be issued on or after 01.04.2026 in the latest prescribed format for Central Government/PSU appointment purpose. Government/PSU employees must submit NOC/relieving letter from current employer at DV & IME stage or at the time of joining - no pay protection or bond transfer benefits on joining. Selected candidates must execute a service agreement bond of Rs. 3 Lakhs + GST and serve for a minimum of 60 months from date of joining. Candidates must keep their registered email ID and mobile number active for at least one year - no changes will be allowed. Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidature. Any modifications/amendments/corrigendum in the advertisement will be published only on CIL's website www.coalindia.in. All disputes related to this recruitment will be settled within the jurisdiction of Kolkata only. CIL reserves the right to cancel/restrict/modify/alter the recruitment process at any stage without assigning any reason. The decision of the Chairman, CIL on all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance/rejection of applications, selection, and posting is final and binding.
