Age Limit
| Details | Candidates must be minimum 15 years and not more than 24 years of age as on 19-05-2026. Age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST (5 years), OBC (3 years), Divyang/PWBD and Ex-Servicemen (10 years). For Ex-Servicemen, an additional 10 years relaxation (plus 3 years if continuous service of 6 months) is also applicable. Age relaxation for OBC and SC/ST candidates is subject to submission of the latest caste certificate in central format. How to Apply
- 1Applications must be submitted online only through the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) portal at https://www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in (Establishment Code: E05202702695 for Nagpur Division; E05202702494 for Motibagh Workshop). The online portal will be active from 19-05-2026 to 18-06-2026 (23:59 hrs).
- 2Candidates must carefully fill their 10th and ITI marks on the portal in the qualification section - if these marks do not appear in the downloaded Excel file, the candidature will be rejected. Do not fill any other higher qualification. Candidates have to choose either Nagpur Division or Motibagh Workshop at the time of application.
- 3A unique registration number will be issued to each applicant during online submission - candidates are advised to save/note it for future correspondence. If the EWS/Ex-Servicemen option is not available on the portal, apply under your actual category and submit the EWS/Ex-Servicemen certificate physically to this office.

Important Instructions
- Applications must be submitted online only through https://www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in; no other mode of application will be accepted. Candidates must fill 10th and ITI marks carefully on the NAPS portal; failure to do so will result in automatic rejection of the application. Engineering Graduates and Diploma Holders are not eligible to apply under this notification. Candidates who have previously done apprenticeship in any organization must not apply again; such candidatures will not be entertained. Candidature will be cancelled if the candidate fails to produce required original testimonials for verification or any discrepancy is noticed. If it is found that a candidate has submitted wrong/fake/false certificates, the Railway administration reserves the right to discharge the candidate at any stage without notice; they may also be liable for penal action. After selection for engagement, requests to change division/unit will not be entertained. No accommodation will be provided by Railway for apprentices; they must make their own arrangements. No daily allowance, conveyance allowance, or travelling allowance will be paid to candidates called for document verification. Age relaxation for OBC candidates is subject to submission of the latest OBC caste certificate in central format; age relaxation for SC/ST is subject to submission of caste certificate in central format. The Railway administration does not undertake responsibility for sending replies to candidates not selected or not called; no correspondence will be entertained. The decision of the administration regarding eligibility and selection at any level is final and binding.
