Candidates applying for the post of Civil Judge (Junior Division) are required to pay a non-refundable examination fee as specified below. The fee must be paid online through the OPSC application portal. Applications without payment of examination fees (except SC/ST/PwD candidates) will be taken as incomplete and outrightly rejected. | The examination fee paid shall be refunded only to those candidates who actually appear in the Preliminary Written Examination. Refund will be processed to the original mode of payment used by the candidate (Credit Card, Debit Card, UPI, Net Banking, Wallet etc.).

Age Limit

DetailsCandidates must be not below 23 years and not above 42 years of age as on the 1st day of the month of April, 2025 (i.e., born not earlier than 2nd April 1983 and not later than 1st April 2002). Age limits prescribed cannot be relaxed beyond the provisions stated. | Date of birth as entered in the High School Certificate or equivalent certificate issued by the concerned Board/Council will only be accepted. A candidate coming under more than one category of age relaxation is eligible for only one benefit of upper age relaxation, whichever is most beneficial.

How to Apply

  • 1Applications must be submitted online only through the OPSC website https://opsc.gov.in. No other mode of application will be accepted. The online application link will be available from 08-05-2026 to 08-06-2026 (5:00 PM). Candidates must carefully go through the detailed instructions available at the OPSC portal before filling up the online application form.
  • 2Candidates must upload scanned images of latest passport size photograph, full signature, and Left-hand Thumb Impression (LTI) in the online application form. On successful submission, a unique Permanent Public Service Account Number (PPSAN) will be assigned. Candidates must take a printout of the finally submitted online registration and application forms and put their signature under the declaration for submission to OPSC along with copies of requisite certificates and documents as and when asked.
  • 3If a candidate wants to modify any information after submission, they must cancel the application and re-apply within the last date of submission. The Commission is under no obligation to entertain requests for rectification sent by email/letter after submission.

Important Instructions

  • Only candidates possessing the requisite qualifications, within the prescribed age limit and fulfilling all eligibility conditions strictly by the closing date will be considered eligible. No hard copy/offline applications will be accepted – online submission only. Examination fee is non-refundable in general; it will be refunded only to those who appear in the Preliminary Written Examination. Applications without payment of examination fees (except SC/ST/PwD candidates) will be outrightly rejected. SC/ST/SEBC reservation and relaxation are admissible only to SC/ST/SEBC of Odisha by birth. OBC certificates will not be accepted in lieu of SEBC certificates. SEBC candidates must submit Non-Creamy Layer Caste Certificate not more than 3 years old as on the date of submission. Community (caste status) once mentioned in the online application form shall not be changed subsequently under any circumstances. PwBD candidates must upload Permanent Disability Certificate only; temporary disability certificates will not be accepted. Government servants must obtain NOC from their Head of Office well in advance and produce it at document verification stage. Women candidates must submit caste certificates by birth (showing "daughter of…"); caste certificates by virtue of marriage (showing "wife of…") are not acceptable. Any complaint on the conduct of examination must be sent to the Grievance Wing by email ([email protected]) within 7 days of completion of the examination. Candidates submitting forged/manipulated documents will be debarred from appearing in OPSC examinations for 3 years. Mobile phones and electronic gadgets are banned inside examination premises. Candidates are advised to visit https://opsc.gov.in regularly for updates. All decisions of the Commission regarding eligibility, conduct of examinations, selection, and other matters are final and binding.
