| Details | Candidates must fulfill all eligibility conditions as on the closing date of submission of online application (20-06-2026). Applications are open to eligible Indian Citizens and Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs). Minimum qualification at the Master's level is 55% marks (or equivalent grade in a point-scale). A relaxation of 5% is allowed at Bachelor's and Master's level for SC/ST/OBC (Non-creamy Layer)/PwBD candidates. A relaxation of 5% (from 55% to 50%) is also available to PhD holders who obtained their Master's Degree prior to 19 September 1991. How to Apply
- 1Applications must be submitted online through the HIMS Portal (https://hims.odisha.gov.in) which will be available from 19.05.2026. Candidates must complete the application in all respects and upload all supporting documents on or before 20.06.2026. Candidates applying for more than one post must apply online separately for each post, paying application fee for each application. The online application can be filled in multiple sessions. No other format of application or CV will be accepted by email or any other means.
- 2In addition, a hard copy of the downloaded and submitted application along with all relevant documents must be sent only via Speed Post/Registered Post to: The Registrar, Utkal University, Vani Vihar, Bhubaneswar, District-Khordha, Odisha–751004 on or before 29.06.2026. Courier/ordinary post/hand delivery will not be accepted. The envelope must be superscribed "APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF [PROFESSOR/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR/ASSISTANT PROFESSOR]" along with Advertisement No. and Date.

Important Instructions
- Applications are open to eligible Indian Citizens and Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs) as per UGC eligibility criteria. Candidates above 60 years of age are not eligible to apply. Candidates applying for more than one post must apply separately for each post and pay the applicable fee for each. Application fee is non-refundable; applications without fee will be summarily rejected. No hard copy will be considered if the applicant fails to submit the online application by the closing date. The period spent acquiring M.Phil. or Ph.D. degree shall not be considered as research experience. Publications in predatory/dubious journals or presentations in predatory/dubious conferences will not be considered at any point in the selection process. Any entry/claim made in the application without supporting documents will not be counted towards the score claimed for the position applied. Only the Matriculation/SSC certificate issued by the concerned educational board will be accepted for date of birth verification. Reserved category candidates (SC/ST/SEBC) must be domiciles/permanent residents of Odisha for availing reservation benefits. Candidates should produce all self-attested documents at the time of interview; only the HIMS portal downloaded application form is acceptable for hardcopy. No TA/DA shall be paid to candidates for attending the interview. Canvassing in any form will be subject to disqualification of candidature. The University reserves the right not to fill up any or some of the advertised vacancies without assigning any reason, and to revise/reschedule/cancel/suspend the recruitment process at any time. The decision of the University shall be final and binding. Any change or amendment in this advertisement will be displayed on the University website only; candidates are advised to visit https://utkaluniversity.ac.in regularly and remain updated till the last date.
