Qualification / Eligibility
| Education Qualification | Master's degree with minimum 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in the concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University or equivalent accredited foreign University. SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/Differently-abled candidates get 5% relaxation (55% to 50%) for eligibility purposes. Ph.D. holders who obtained Master's degree before 19 September 1991 also get 5% relaxation. |

A separate application must be submitted for each post/department. Candidates should NOT send or submit hard copies of the recruitment application to the Head of the concerned Department or the Administration Teaching Section by post or in person at any time.

Important Instructions
- THIS IS NOT A PERMANENT APPOINTMENT. The post of Assistant Professor (Contractual) is purely temporary in nature, up to 31st May, 2027. Selected candidates will not have any claim for regularization or permanent appointment on the basis of this contractual engagement. Separate application must be submitted for each post/department. A single common application for multiple departments is not valid. Candidates must NOT send or submit hard copies of the application to the Department or Administration Teaching Section by post or in person - only online applications are accepted. Application at interview: Candidates must bring the printout of the online application form along with all supporting original documents and attested/self-attested photocopies to the concerned Department Head at the time of interview for verification. Qualifications, relevant experience, and age will be counted as on the last date of receipt of application (01-06-2026). Documents acquired after the cut-off date will not be considered. Candidates furnishing incorrect or false information shall stand disqualified at any stage, including after appointment. Canvassing directly or indirectly will be a disqualification. Candidates called for interview must appear at their own expense. The University will not reimburse travel or any other expenses. Candidates from reserved categories from outside Maharashtra will be treated as Open category only. DT-A, NT-B, NT-C, NT-D category reservations are separate and internally transferable - if a candidate from one of these categories is not available, the post can be filled interchangeably within DT-A/NT-B/NT-C/NT-D. SEBC reservation is applicable as per Maharashtra GR No. BCC 2024/Pra.Kra.75/16-C dated 27.02.2024. Reserved category candidates appointed against reserved posts must submit their Caste Validity Certificate within 6 months of the appointment order - as per Maharashtra Notification No. BBC-2011/Pra.Kra./1064/2011/16-B dated 12.12.2011. The University reserves the right to fill or not to fill any post, or to modify/alter/cancel the advertisement at any time without assigning any reason. University Circular No. 90/2026 (Outward No. AT/726 dated 15.05.2026) forms an integral part of this notification - candidates must read it before applying.
