Sambalpur University (SUNIV) has released the official Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor Notification 2026 at suniv.ac.in. A total of 84 vacancies have been announced under the SUNIV Faculty Recruitment 2026 across various Departments/Subjects/Colleges. Eligible candidates aged below 60 years with qualifications as per UGC Regulations (Master’s/Ph.D./NET/SLET as applicable for each post) can apply online from 15 May 2026 to 16 June 2026. Qualification / Eligibility

Education Qualification(i) Good academic record with a Ph.D. Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant subject. (ii) A Master degree with 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/Non-creamy layer OBC/Differently abled) in a concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University or accredited foreign university. Relaxation of 5% in marks also applicable to Ph.D. degree holders who completed Master degree prior to 19 September, 1991.

DetailsCandidates must fulfill all eligibility conditions as on the closing date of submission of online application (16-06-2026). Eligibility is as per UGC Regulations Notification No. F.1-2/2017(EC/PS), dated 18th July 2018 and as amended from time to time. The period spent by candidates to acquire M.Phil. and/or Ph.D. degree shall not be considered as research experience. Candidates above 60 years will not be eligible to apply. How to Apply

  • 1Applications must be submitted online only through the HIMS Portal available at https://himsrecruitment.odisha.gov.in/home, which will be available from 15-05-2026. The online application can be filled in multiple sessions. Candidates willing to apply for more than one post must apply separately and pay processing fee for each application. No other application or CV should be sent by email or any other means.
  • 2After submitting the online application, candidates must download the PDF of the submitted application generated by the HIMS portal and send the hard copy along with all supporting documents via Registered Post/Speed Post to reach the University on or before 26-06-2026. The envelope must be superscribed "APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF ……………………………." along with the Advertisement No. and Date. No hard copy will be considered if the applicant fails to submit the online application on or before the closing date.
  • 3Persons employed in Government/Public Sector Enterprise/Autonomous Bodies must forward a copy of their application through proper channel or furnish a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the competent authority or employer. In-service candidates must forward the hard copy through proper channel or attach NOC so as to reach the University as per the specified date.

  • Candidates above 60 years of age are not eligible to apply. Applications must be submitted online only through the HIMS portal; no application by email or any other means will be accepted. Candidates must apply separately for each post and pay the application fee separately for each post. The hard copy of the application along with all supporting documents must reach the University on or before 26-06-2026. No hard copy will be considered if the online application is not submitted on or before the closing date (16-06-2026). Application fee is non-refundable; applications without applicable fee will be summarily rejected. Application without signature will not be considered and will be rejected without refund of application processing fee. The period spent to acquire M.Phil. and/or Ph.D. degree shall not be considered as research experience. Only matriculation/SSC/pass certificate issued by the concerned educational board will be accepted as proof of Date of Birth. SC/ST/SEBC candidates must submit proper caste certificate as per Govt. of Odisha guidelines and format. PWD category candidates must submit Disability Certificate issued by competent authority in the prescribed format. Exchange of reservation is not permitted. In service candidates must forward hard copy through proper channel or attach NOC from the competent authority. If more than one application is submitted for the same post, only the application submitted last within the closing date shall be considered; partial applications are not acceptable. Mere possession of minimum prescribed qualifications does not entitle the candidate to be called for written examination/interview. Documents should be uploaded in PDF/Image format with readability ensured; photograph should be uploaded in JPEG format with a size less than 200 KB. No TA/DA shall be paid for attending the interview. Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification. In cases of disputes, legal proceedings against the University shall be restricted to Courts in Sambalpur, Odisha. Any change or amendment shall be displayed only on the University website; candidates are advised to visit www.suniv.ac.in regularly and remain updated. The University reserves the right to revise/reschedule/cancel/suspend the advertisement/recruitment process without assigning any reason. Decisions of the University shall be final and binding.
