Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has released the official Class-I (Junior Grade) Home Guards Notification 2026 on 05 May 2026 at the official website https://apsc.nic.in. A total of 22 vacancies have been announced under the APSC Home Guards Recruitment 2026. Eligible candidates aged between 21 and 38 years with a Graduate degree in any discipline from a Government-recognized University can apply online from 08 May 2026 to 07 June 2026. How to Apply
- 1Applicants must apply online only through the APSC recruitment website: https://apscrecruitment.in.
- 2New users have to complete One Time Registration (OTR) first by clicking on “Register Here” and providing basic details.
- 3Use a valid and active email ID and mobile number for registration and future communication.
- 4Log in with registered email/mobile number and password, then fill in all mandatory details in the online application form.
Important Instructions
- Candidates must ensure that they fulfil all the eligibility conditions regarding age, qualification, physical standards and other criteria before applying for the post.
- Admission at all stages of selection will be purely provisional, subject to verification of eligibility conditions by the Commission.
- No request for withdrawal of candidature will be entertained after submission of the online application. Category/sub-category claimed in the original application cannot be changed at any stage of the selection process. Candidates furnishing wrong or false information may be disqualified from APSC recruitments for a period as decided by the Commission. Submission of false documents or suppression of material facts may lead to rejection and legal action even after recommendation for appointment. Candidates must produce valid photo ID (PAN Card, Driving Licence, Passport, Institution ID, Voter ID, Aadhaar, etc.) at the time of written test and interview. Date of birth once declared in the online form will be treated as final; only Class X/XII Board documents will be accepted as proof of age. Original documents and self-attested copies (DOB, educational certificates, caste/BPL certificates, PRC, Small Family Norms declaration Form-A, etc.) must be produced at the time of interview. Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidate. Candidates should visit the APSC website regularly for updates; no interim enquiries about results will be entertained.
