AAI Apprentice Recruitment 2026 - Apply Online for Graduate & Diploma Apprentice Posts

AAI Nagpur Airport has announced 9 tentative seats across the following Graduate and Diploma Apprentice disciplines, each with a training duration of one year. Candidates applying for more than one discipline will not be considered, and their application will be rejected. *Note: The notification lists two entries numbered “4” (Graduate Apprentice – Finance and Diploma Apprentice – Engineering-Civil); the seat count above totals 08 as individually listed against each discipline, though the notification’s overall framing describes 9 posts. All figures are tentative and may be reduced or increased as per the notification.

Only candidates belonging to the state of Maharashtra (Nagpur or the nearby area of Nagpur) are eligible to apply. Candidates who have passed their Degree/Diploma on or after 01.04.2022 are eligible; those who have completed more than five years from the date of passing the qualifying examination, as on the date of joining, are not eligible. Students awaiting final year results may also apply, subject to producing the qualifying certificate later. Candidates who have already completed an apprenticeship, terminated one midway, or are currently pursuing one with another organisation or AAI at the same qualification level are not eligible. Candidates with one year or more of training/job experience after attaining the essential qualification are also not eligible.

Degree/Diploma candidates must possess a full-time regular four-year Degree in Engineering or three-year Diploma in the relevant stream, from an institution recognised by AICTE, Government of India, with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST candidates). Where CGPA/CGPI/CPI/SGPA is awarded, it is the applicant’s responsibility to convert it to a percentage as per the guidelines of the concerned University/Board/AICTE/Institute.

As on 31.07.2026, candidates must be a minimum of 18 years and a maximum of 26 years of age. Upper age relaxation is available as follows. In case of non-availability of candidates in reserved categories, the vacancies will be filled from other reserved categories/General category.

There is no application fee for AAI Apprentice Recruitment 2026-27.

The monthly stipend is ₹15,000/- for Graduate Apprentices and ₹12,000/- for Diploma Apprentices, structured as follows. The Government’s share is directly credited to the apprentice’s registered bank account through BOAT.

Selection for engagement as Apprentice is based on the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination. The candidature of the applicant is provisional; final selection is based on Interview/verification of certificates and testimonials, and submission of a Certificate of Medical Fitness (obtained only from a Gazetted Government Medical Officer/Medical Officer of a Government Undertaking) at the time of joining. A Police Verification Certificate must be obtained from the candidate’s local area of residence. Shortlisted candidates will be called for interview/document verification through their registered email ID only.

Applications without supporting documents, or that are incomplete or do not fulfil the prescribed criteria, will be rejected. Candidates applying for more than one discipline will not be considered, and their application will be rejected. Requests for change in mailing address, category, discipline, qualification, or bank details once declared during registration will not be entertained. The number of candidates to be engaged is indicative and may change as per requirement without further notification. During apprenticeship, candidates will be governed by the Apprentices Act, 1961 (as amended) and the organisation’s policies/rules. Reservation for SC/ST and OBC is applicable as per rules; OBC candidates must submit a Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) certificate in the prescribed proforma. OBC candidates falling in the creamy layer are not entitled to OBC reservation benefits and must apply as “UR”
