Grand Total: 68 posts. 4% of total seats (7 posts: 1 Professor, 1 Additional Professor, 2 Associate Professor, 3 Assistant Professor) are reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), on a horizontal basis, identified by physical requirement categories S (Sitting), ST (Standing), W (Walking), MF (Manipulation by Fingers), and RW (Reading & Writing). # Pulmonary Medicine: candidates with D.M./M.D. (Pulmonary Medicine), M.D. (Respiratory Medicine), or M.D. (TB & Chest Diseases) may apply. $ Transfusion Medicine and Blood Bank: candidates with M.D. (Transfusion Medicine) or M.D. (Blood Bank) may apply. * Trauma and Emergency Medicine: candidates with M.Ch. Age is reckoned as on the closing date of application, 13.10.2026. No age relaxation is available to SC/ST/OBC candidates applying for unreserved vacancies. Maximum age limit for the post of Additional Professor on deputation basis is separately specified in the deputation-specific terms of Annexure-1.

Candidates can apply for Direct Recruitment, Deputation basis, or Contract basis (for retired faculty), depending on vacancy availability; Associate Professor and Assistant Professor posts can only be filled on Direct Recruitment basis.

Based on bio-data, the Search-cum-Selection Committee may shortlist candidates for interview. Candidates called for interview must produce all relevant original documents (self-attested photocopies of Degrees, Certificates, Mark sheets, Age proof, Caste certificates, etc.) along with the printed application for verification. Candidates already working in Central/State Government/Semi-Government/Autonomous Institutions must submit a "No Objection Certificate" from their employer at the time of interview. The offer of appointment, when made, will be provisional and subject to verification of educational and personal credentials by the competent authority. The decision of the Executive Director, AIIMS Gorakhpur, is final and binding in all matters relating to this recruitment.
