AIIMS Rajkot Faculty Recruitment 2026 Notification Out, 86 Vacancies, Apply Online

AIIMS Rajkot is a Central Autonomous Body (CAB) established under an Act of Parliament, functioning under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY) division of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. The Faculty Recruitment 2026 aims to fill Group-A posts on Direct Recruitment basis, failing which on Deputation basis. All vacancies earmarked for SC, ST, and OBC are backlog vacancies except the post of Professor in Community and Family Medicine. The last date to apply online is 10th July 2026 .

A total of 86 vacancies have been released under AIIMS Rajkot Faculty Recruitment 2026 across four designations and multiple departments. Category-wise breakup: Professor - 26 (SC-4, ST-2, OBC-7, EWS-1, UR-12); Additional Professor - 17 (SC-3, ST-1, OBC-6, EWS-1, UR-6); Associate Professor - 15 (SC-4, ST-2, OBC-5, EWS-1, UR-3); Assistant Professor - 28 (SC-8, ST-2, OBC-10, EWS-0, UR-8). Note: Vacancies are provisional and subject to variation. 4% horizontal reservation for PwBD is applicable.

For Medical Candidates (all posts): A medical/dental qualification included in Schedule I, II, or Part II of the third schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act 1956 Postgraduate qualification: MD / MS / MDS or equivalent in the respective discipline DM (Medical super-specialties) or MCh (Surgical super-specialties) - 2/3/5-year recognized course For Non-Medical Candidates (applicable to Anatomy, Biochemistry, Physiology, Pharmacology only): Master's Degree in the discipline/allied subject Doctorate degree from a recognized university in the concerned discipline Experience - Post-wise: Note: 1 year experience relaxation for SC/ST candidates as per DoPT rules. Application Scrutiny: All online applications are received and scrutinised by the Selection Committee of AIIMS Rajkot. Only eligible candidates are called for the next stage. Shortlisting: If the vacancy-to-candidate ratio exceeds 1:10, the Selection Committee may shortlist on the basis of an objective screening score (Appendix 1 criteria). Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must produce original academic, experience, category, and registration certificates before the interview. Personal Interview: Eligible candidates appear before the Standing Selection Committee at AIIMS Rajkot in person. Candidates must make a 5-minute PowerPoint presentation on their work and achievements. Final Selection: The decision of the Competent Authority regarding selection is final and binding. *NPA (Non-Practising Allowance) applicable for medically qualified candidates only. After 3 years, Assistant Professors move to Level 13 (Basic ₹1,23,100).
