Assam ITI Admission 2026 online registration has started from 26th May 2026 on the official website itiassam.admissions.nic.in. The Directorate of Employment and Craftsmen Training, Assam has invited applications for admission into Government and Private ITIs for NCVT and SCVT trades for the session commencing 1st August 2026.

Assam ITI Admission 2026 Eligibility Criteria

• Age: Minimum 14 years as on 1st July 2026.
• Educational Qualification: Post Matric Trades: Passed 10th class (HSLC) with Science & Mathematics. Under Matric Trades: Passed 8th class. Specific trades like Electrician, Fitter etc. require 10th with Science & Maths.
• Post Matric Trades: Passed 10th class (HSLC) with Science & Mathematics.
• Under Matric Trades: Passed 8th class.
• Specific trades like Electrician, Fitter etc. require 10th with Science & Maths.
• Candidates must be Permanent Residents of Assam.
• Physically fit for training and medical check-up required.

Reservation of Seats

30% seats are reserved for women candidates with preference.

List of Trades & Courses in Assam ITI 2026

Popular NCVT Trades (2 Years): Electrician, Fitter, Mechanic Motor Vehicle, Welder, Turner, Machinist, etc. (10th pass with Science & Maths).

1-Year Trades: Computer Operator & Programming Assistant (COPA), Sewing Technology, Cosmetology, Welder, Plumber, etc.

Advanced Trades under IMC: Industrial Robotics & Digital Manufacturing Technician, Mechanic Electric Vehicle, CNC Machining Technician, IoT Technician, etc. (Higher fees applicable).

Selection Process

Merit is prepared based on marks in the qualifying exam (10th or 8th). Tie-breakers use Mathematics, then English marks, followed by randomization. Reservation rules apply. Counselling is conducted online in multiple rounds.
