Assam VFA Recruitment 2026 Notification Out - Apply Online for 200 Veterinary Field Assistant Posts

Note: RFW = Reserved for Women. PwBD = Persons with Benchmark Disabilities. Ex-Servicemen candidates must upload their Ex-Servicemen Identity Card issued by the Zila Sainik Welfare Office of Assam, along with the Discharge Book, while applying for the reserved post.

Horizontal Reservation (within the 200 posts)

Note: Age will be calculated based on the HSLC Pass Certificate/HSLC Admit Card/Certificate issued by a recognized Central/State Board/Council, where the age/date of birth is clearly reflected. No other document will be accepted in lieu of this for age calculation.

Upper Age Relaxation

Selection for the entry-level cadre of Veterinary Field Assistant (or its equivalent post) is through an OMR-based written test of 120 minutes duration, for 100 marks across 100 questions, set at Class 12 (HSSLC Science) standard. The test is HSSLC(Science)-level, multiple-choice (MCQ) format.

Selected candidates must undergo a mandatory 1 (one) year Training in Elementary Knowledge of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science at the School of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, Assam, Ghungoor, Silchar, and its extended campuses under the Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Department. Candidates must pass this training before appointment.

HSSLC (Class 12) Science stream mark sheet/certificate, with Biology as a subject HSLC Pass Certificate/HSLC Admit Card, or equivalent certificate from a recognized Board/Council, for age proof Valid Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) issued in Assam, for proof of domicile Caste certificate for SC/ST/OBC/MOBC candidates, issued by the competent authority in Assam PwBD certificate (Benchmark Disability 40% or more), issued by the competent authority, for candidates applying under the PwBD category Ex-Servicemen Identity Card (issued by the Zila Sainik Welfare Office, Assam) and Discharge Book, for Ex-Servicemen candidates applying against the reserved post
