Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has released the BEL Probationary Legal Officer Recruitment 2026 Notification for 1 permanent vacancy in the E-II Grade at its Bengaluru Complex. BEL has announced one vacancy for Probationary Legal Officer in E-II grade. The vacancy is unreserved.

Candidates applying for BEL Probationary Legal Officer Recruitment 2026 must satisfy the educational qualification and age requirements prescribed by Bharat Electronics Limited. Candidates must possess a full-time Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB/BL) from a recognized Indian university. General category candidates must have secured First Class in LLB/BL. PwBD candidates are required to have secured at least Pass Class in LLB/BL. Candidates whose university follows a CGPA, credits or grade-point system should provide the relevant university-approved formula for converting their CGPA or credits into percentage marks.

The upper age limit for the Probationary Legal Officer post is 25 years as on 1 July 2026 for candidates applying under the UR category. The age will be calculated as on 1 July 2026. If the candidate's date of birth is not available on the Matriculation or Higher Secondary certificate, a birth certificate issued by the competent authority will be considered.

The selected candidate will be appointed in the pay scale of Rs. 40,000 - 3% - Rs. 1,40,000. The initial basic pay will be Rs. 40,000. In addition to basic pay, the selected candidate will be eligible for various allowances and benefits as per BEL rules. The BEL Legal Officer selection process consists of a Written Test followed by an Interview. Candidates who satisfy the eligibility requirements will first be shortlisted for the Written Test. Candidates qualifying in the Written Test will then be provisionally shortlisted for the Interview in a ratio of 1:5. The final selection will be based on the candidate's performance in both the Written Test and Interview. The minimum qualifying marks apply separately to both the Written Test and Interview.

Minimum Qualifying Marks

The Written Test will be conducted in Bengaluru only. BEL will communicate the exact date and time of the Written Test to eligible candidates through the email address provided in the application form. Candidates should therefore ensure that they provide a valid and active email address while applying.

The application fee for the Probationary Legal Officer post is Rs. 600 plus 18% GST. The application fee is non-refundable under any circumstances. The application fee must be paid through SBI Collect. Candidates should select the payment category for Legal Officer (E-II) - On Permanent Basis for Bengaluru Complex. After payment, candidates must: Note the SBI Collect Reference Number. Enter the SBI Collect Reference Number in the application form. Take a printout of the payment receipt. Attach the payment receipt with the application form. Candidates should use the same mobile number and email ID for the SBI Collect payment that they have provided in the application form. Payment through cheque, demand draft or cash will not be accepted.

Candidates should submit self-attested photocopies of the required documents along with the completed application form. Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply. The application must reach BEL on or before 20 August 2026. Applications received after the closing date will not be considered. Incomplete applications or applications submitted without required documents may be rejected. Candidates should enter all information correctly as changes will not be permitted after submission. Merely meeting the minimum eligibility conditions does not guarantee shortlisting for the Written Test or Interview. Shortlisting will be based on the information provided by candidates in the application form. False information can lead to rejection, debarment or cancellation of appointment. Future communication with candidates will be made primarily through email. Candidates working in Government, PSU or Semi-Government organizations must produce a No Objection Certificate at the time of Interview.
