There are a total of 14 vacancies for the Project Engineer-I post.

Only Indian nationals need apply. Disciplines and subjects defined: Computer Science: Computer Science / Computer Science & Engineering / Computer Science Engineering. Electronics: Electronics / Electronics & Communication / Electronics & Telecommunication / Communication / Telecommunication. Relevant post-qualification industry experience as on 01.10.2026 should be more than two years. Teaching/Academic/Research work, banking and financial institutions, non-profit organizations, and internship placements which are part of academic curriculum will not be considered as experience.

The upper age limit as on 01.10.2026 is 32 years for General & EWS category candidates.

In addition to the remuneration indicated above, a consolidated amount of Rs. 12,000/- per year will be paid towards expenses like insurance premium, attire allowance, stitching charges, footwear allowance, etc. Project Engineers who complete an overall tenure of 4 years will be entitled to a Retention Bonus of Rs. 25,000/- for every completed year (payable at the end of 4 years i.e., Rs. 1,00,000/-). Gratuity is admissible as per BEL Employees Gratuity Scheme rules.

The application fee must be remitted through SBI Collect (online mode) or by approaching an SBI branch. Fee once paid will not be refunded.

Selection will be through a Written Test for shortlisted candidates, followed by an Interview for those who qualify in the Written Test. 85% marks will be allotted for the written test and 15% marks for the interview. Candidates who pass the written test will be called for interview in the ratio of 1:5 in order of merit in each role in each category.

Project Engineers are appointed initially for a period of three years, extendable up to a maximum of one more year (maximum tenure of 4 years). Lateral application for the same post (e.g., existing Project Engineer applying for Project Engineer) is not permitted and will be summarily rejected. Candidates working in PSUs/Govt. organizations must submit a No Objection Certificate at the time of application or interview. Selected candidates are required to obtain a Medical Insurance cover for Rs. 2 lakhs per annum and Life Cover Insurance for Rs. 5 lakhs per annum at the time of joining.
