The application process for BFUHS Pharmacist Recruitment 2026 begins on 11 June 2026 and closes on 1 July 2026 . Candidates should note that the qualification and registration must be completed prior to the last date of application. No late submissions will be entertained after the portal closes.

A total of 454 posts are being filled - 348 fresh vacancies and 106 backlog vacancies. Of the 454 total posts, 118 are reserved for women within their respective categories. The category-wise distribution is as follows: Note: The number of reserved category posts is provisional and subject to revision as per Punjab Government Policy Guidelines. LDESM (Lineal Descendants of Ex-Servicemen) and Grand Children of Gallantry Award Winners with Punjab domicile are eligible under the ESM category only if no Ex-Servicemen candidates are available.

To be eligible for BFUHS Pharmacist Recruitment 2026, candidates must satisfy all three qualification conditions simultaneously. The eligibility is determined as on the last date of application, i.e., 1 July 2026. Passed Senior Secondary Part-II (Class 12) with Science or its equivalent from a recognised university or institution; AND Possess a Diploma in Pharmacy or Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Pharm.D (Doctor of Pharmacy) from a recognised university or institution, or higher qualification in the same discipline; AND Registered as a Pharmacist with the Punjab Pharmacy Council set up under the Pharmacy Act, 1948 Certificates and diplomas from non-recognised institutions will not be accepted and candidature will be declared ineligible. The application fee is non-refundable and must be paid online through the BFUHS portal. Candidates should select their category carefully at the time of applying, as the category cannot be changed after submission under any circumstances.

Selected candidates will be entitled to pay scales and emoluments as per Punjab Government instructions. The initial pay for the Pharmacist (Pharmacy Officer) post is fixed at ₹29,200/- (Pay Level 5 under the 7th Central Pay Commission) . Other allowances and service conditions are governed by the Department of Health and Family Welfare Technical Group 'C' Service Rules of 2016 (with first amendment dated 23.07.2025) and relevant Finance Department instructions.

Selection for BFUHS Pharmacist 2026 is based on a written examination (90 marks) combined with experience marks (10 marks) , giving a total of 100 marks. The written test is conducted by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot.
