A total of 13 vacancies have been announced for Technician (Bench Chemist) and Assistant Bacteriologist posts. Horizontal reservation is applicable to both posts as per Bihar Government norms: 35% reservation for women (Bihar domicile only), reservation for persons with disabilities (PwD categories VH, HH, OH, MH - currently shown as 00 vacancies in each sub-category for both posts), and 2% horizontal reservation for grandchildren of freedom fighters (Bihar domicile, currently 00 vacancies for both posts). D.Pharma or B.Pharma from a recognized university. Payment must be made only in online mode through debit card, credit card, net banking, or UPI. Bank charges applicable on the online payment mode will be levied separately by the bank in addition to the application fee. Fee once paid is non-refundable. Selection for both posts will be made on the basis of a Computer Based Test (CBT) and work experience, as per the following distribution: The written exam will consist of 100 objective-type multiple-choice questions carrying a total of 400 marks, in both Hindi and English. Exam duration: 2 hours. 4 marks awarded per correct answer; 1 mark deducted per wrong answer (negative marking applicable). The exam may be conducted in multiple shifts, with results prepared using a normalization process. Minimum qualifying marks: General category – 40%, BC – 36.5%, EBC – 34%, SC/ST/Women/PwD – 32%. Candidates residing outside Bihar (including women and PwD candidates) must secure the General category minimum of 40%.
