Canara Bank has announced 3500 training seats across states and Union Territories. Candidates can opt for training seats in only one state. The seats are provisional and may vary according to the actual requirement of the Bank. The age limit is a minimum of 20 years and a maximum of 28 years as on 01.09.2026. Candidates must have been born not earlier than 02.09.1998 and not later than 01.09.2006 (both days inclusive). The maximum age limit applies to General Category and EWS candidates. Candidates should ensure that they meet the prescribed age limit as on the specified cut-off date. Apprentices are not employees of Canara Bank. A monthly stipend is paid instead of a salary during the apprenticeship period.

The fee is non-refundable and includes GST. It is payable online only. Payment can be made by Debit Cards (RuPay/ Visa/ MasterCard/ Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards or Mobile Wallets. An e-receipt is generated after a successful transaction. Candidates should not press Back or Refresh after submitting payment information, to avoid double charge.

Selection is merit-based. The notification does not describe a written examination. Merit list: Prepared state-wise in descending order of marks/ percentage in 12th Std (HSC/ 10+2)/ Diploma Examination. Ties are ranked by age in descending order. Minimum marks: Not less than 60% (55% for SC/ ST/ PwBD) in 12th Std/ Diploma. Fractions are ignored, so 59.99% is treated as below 60% and 54.99% as below 55%.
