The pay scales for Central University of Kerala teaching posts are fixed as per UGC/Government of India norms. Appointed candidates will be governed by the National Pension Scheme (NPS), and pay will be revised as per rules issued from time to time. Note: The ITEP notification does not include a Professor-level post. Associate Professor in ITEP carries the same Academic Level 13A pay scale and Assistant Professor the same Academic Level 10 pay scale as the Non-ITEP posts.

For ITEP Posts , qualifications are as per the National Council for Teacher Education (Recognition, Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 2014 , and subsequent amendments. Essential qualifications: Master's Degree in Sciences or Mathematics with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade in a point-scale) Master's Degree in Education with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade) Doctor of Philosophy in Education Minimum 8 years of teaching and/or research experience at an academic/research position equivalent to Assistant Professor level, with a minimum of 7 publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals and a total research score of 75 as per Appendix II, Table 2 of UGC Regulations, 2018 Desirable: Diploma or Degree in Educational Administration or Leadership. The online application fee for Central University of Kerala Teaching Recruitment 2026 is Rs. 2,000/- . Women candidates and candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PwBD categories are fully exempted from the application fee. The fee is non-refundable. Payment must be made online through Credit Card, Debit Card, NEFT, or Net Banking. A copy of the transaction receipt should be enclosed along with the hard copy of the application.

Two posts in this combined recruitment are specifically reserved for PwBD candidates. Only candidates with a minimum 40% disability are eligible to apply under PwBD reservation. Candidates whose disability falls under the 'likely to improve' or temporary disability category are not eligible for reservation; only progressive, non-progressive, or not-likely-to-improve conditions qualify. Candidates must upload the Disability Certificate in the prescribed format as per Rule 18(1) of Rights of Persons with Disabilities Rules, 2017 (Form V, Form VI, or Form VII as applicable), issued by the Competent Authority, and must forward a copy of the certificate along with the hard copy of the application.

Central University of Kerala will shortlist candidates based on their qualifications and experience, and call them for a personal interview. Meeting the minimum prescribed qualifications alone does not guarantee an interview call - where the number of applications is large, the university may restrict candidates to a higher threshold of qualifications and experience at its discretion. Several conditions frequently lead to disqualification that candidates should be aware of. Degrees or diplomas obtained from institutions declared fake or derecognized by UGC at the time of obtaining the degree will render the candidate ineligible. The proof of peer-reviewed journal status, Impact Factor, and authorship claims must be supported by valid documents - scores will not be allotted without valid proof. Once appointed, faculty may be required to teach UG, PG, or other programmes and serve at any place/centre as notified by the university, in addition to regular teaching and research duties.
