The application fee for CG Teacher Recruitment 2026 is category-based and must be paid online at the time of application submission. Local resident candidates of Chhattisgarh who appear for the exam get their application fee refunded by CGSSB to the same bank account used for payment, as per applicable government orders.

Selection for CG Teacher Recruitment 2026 is based on a written examination (LST26) conducted by CGSSB. The exam consists of 100 objective-type questions, carrying 1 mark each. Total exam duration is 2 hours (10:00 AM to 12:15 PM). Each question has four options; candidates must fully darken one circle using a blue or black ballpoint pen on the OMR sheet. Negative marking applies: 1/4 mark is deducted for a wrong answer or for marking more than one option. Unattempted questions are awarded zero marks. Document verification, final selection, and appointment are handled separately by the recruiting department and are outside CGSSB's scope.

The admit card for LST26 is expected to be released around 19 October 2026 on the official website. Candidates can download it by logging into their profile on the CGSSB portal. The admit card must be printed on one side of each page and retained even after the exam, as it may be required during the selection/joining process.

The LST26 exam will be held at coordination centres in 16 district headquarters across Chhattisgarh.

Report to the exam centre at least 2 hours before the exam for verification and frisking. The main gate closes 30 minutes before the exam starts (9:30 AM, as the exam begins at 10:00 AM); no entry is allowed after this. Carry the admit card, a black or blue ballpoint pen, and an original photo ID (Voter ID, Driving Licence, PAN Card, or Aadhaar Card).
