Qualification / Eligibility
Professor (Paediatrics): Medical Qualification included in the first or second schedule or Part II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act 1956. Postgraduate qualification i.e. MD (Paediatrics) or equivalent recognized degree. Fourteen (14) years of teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution in the subject or specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree of MD or qualification recognized equivalent thereto. Associate Professor (Paediatrics): Medical Qualification included in the first or second schedule or Part II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act 1956. Postgraduate qualification i.e. MD (Paediatrics) or equivalent recognized degree. Six (06) years of teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution in the subject or specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree of MD or qualification recognized equivalent thereto. Assistant Professor (Anesthesiology, Dermatology, ENT, Orthopaedics, Paediatrics, Radiology): Medical Qualification included in the first or second schedule or Part II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act 1956. Postgraduate qualification i.e. MD/MS (in concerned specialty) or equivalent recognized degree. Three (03) years of teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree of MD or qualification recognized equivalent thereto. Assistant Professor (Ped Surgery): Medical Qualification included in the first or second schedule or Part II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act 1956. M.Ch. In Pediatric Surgery (2 years or 3 years or 5 years or 6 years recognized course after MBBS) or recognized qualification equivalent thereto. One year teaching and/or research experience in a recognized Institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the Degree of M.Ch. In Pediatric Surgery (2 years or 5 years recognized course after MBBS) or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto. However, no experience is necessary for the candidates possessing three years or six years recognized Degree of M.Ch. In Pediatric Surgery. Medical Officer: A recognized MBBS qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part-Il of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical act, 1956. Completion of compulsory rotating internship - Candidates who may not have completed rotating internship shall be eligible to appear for the written examination provided that, If selected, they shall have satisfactorily completed the compulsory internship before appointment.
