Chamarajanagar Anganwadi Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online for 390 Anganwadi Helper, Anganwadi Worker Posts

The recruitment fills vacant posts at Anganwadi centres run by the Women and Child Development Department in Chamarajanagar district, Karnataka. The Deputy Commissioner's office has asked the National Informatics Centre (NIC), Chamarajanagar, to invite the applications online. Selection follows the Karnataka Government guidelines in Government Order No. ಮಮಇ 154 ಐಸಿಡಿ 2020 dated 03-12-2022 and its modification order dated 18-11-2024, both attached to the notice.

Most of the posts, 271 of 390, are Anganwadi Helper posts. The vacancies are spread over the 5 taluk Child Development Projects of the district. The notice does not give a project-wise or centre-wise list.

Only women and transgender minority women are eligible to apply for the Anganwadi Worker and Anganwadi Helper posts. Applicants for both posts must be within the age limit of 19-35 years. Selection for both posts is on merit: a combined list is prepared online on the total of the marks in the prescribed qualification and the bonus marks. The notice describes no written examination. When widows apply, they are selected directly at third priority, after acid attack survivors and residents of department institutions, without considering the other applications. A woman who becomes a widow after applying is not considered. Among widows, the widow of a farmer who died by suicide gets first priority. The Anganwadi Worker / Helper post is entirely honorary service and not a permanent post; the appointment order will say so. Selected candidates must produce original documents and a medical (fitness) certificate when reporting; the Child Development Project Officer verifies them. Elected local representatives who may be selected must resign their elected membership and give the resignation acceptance letter before the selection list is published; work is allowed in only one position.
