A total of 1,812 contractual posts are notified across 33 districts of Chhattisgarh. The contract staff are paid a fixed monthly lump-sum honorarium (ekmusht masik mandey) based on the post: Lecturer and Headmaster (Upper Primary School): Rs. 38,100 per month Headmaster (Primary School), Teacher (all subjects), PT Teacher and Teacher (Computer): Rs. 35,400 per month Assistant Teacher and Laboratory Assistant: Rs. 25,300 per month Librarian: Rs. 22,400 per month No special pay, dearness allowance, compensatory allowance or house rent allowance is given, and there is no annual increment under contract appointment.
