Coal India Limited (CIL) has released the official Management Trainee (MT) Notification 2026 on 05.05.2026 at CIL coalindia.in. A total of 660 vacancies have been announced under the CIL MT Recruitment 2026. Eligible candidates aged up to 30 years for General/EWS category (with relaxations for reserved categories as per Govt. rules) and possessing a relevant full-time Engineering Degree / M.Tech / M.Sc / MCA qualification can apply online from 12-05-2026 to 11-06-2026. • The selection process for CIL MT Recruitment 2026 consists of a Computer Based Online Test (CBT) only. There will be NO interview for final selection. The CBT will be of 3 hours duration (in one sitting) consisting of two papers of 100 marks each. Paper-I covers General Knowledge/Awareness
• Reasoning
• Numerical Ability and General English. Paper-II covers Professional Knowledge (Discipline related). Each question carries 1 mark and there is NO penalty for wrong answers. No marks will be awarded for un-attempted questions. The question paper will be bilingual (English and Hindi); in case of any error in Hindi version
• the English version will be valid and final.
• Candidates may opt for three Test Cities in order of preference (cannot be changed after submission). CIL reserves the right to allocate any Test City other than opted and to add/delete cities based on applicant numbers.

No hard copy of the application form or any documents should be sent to the CIL office. Candidates can submit online application for one discipline (post) only. No modifications are allowed after the candidate submits the online application form. Candidates are advised not to wait till the last date and submit their application well within time.
• The Admit Card for CBT will be available for downloading through the individual login portal on the CIL website. All correspondences/announcements will be made through CIL website www.coalindia.in only. Candidates must have an active email ID and mobile number valid for at least the next one year. • Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply. Engineering Degree/M.Tech/M.Sc./MCA must be from a recognized University/Institute and must be a regular full-time course; no online/correspondence/part-time courses (except Hindi for Rajbhasha discipline). Rounding of percentage is not acceptable; 60% means 60.00% and above only; even 59.99% is not eligible. Final year/semester students of academic year 2025-26 are eligible if they expect results by 31.08.2026; minimum marks criteria applies to completed semesters. A candidate can submit online application for one discipline (post) only; if multiple applications are submitted, only the application with the higher Application Sequence Number will be entertained. OBC-NCL certificate must be issued on or after 01-04-2026 in the latest prescribed format applicable for Central Govt. PSU appointment. EWS Income & Asset Certificate must be based on income of FY 2025-26 and valid for the year 2026-27. No TA/DA will be paid to any candidate (including SC/ST/PwD/EWS) for appearing in the Computer Based Online Test. Candidates working in Govt./PSUs/Autonomous bodies must submit NOC at the time of online application or DV/IME or submit proper relieving order at the time of joining. Selected candidates will be required to execute a service agreement bond of Rs. 3 Lakhs and must serve for a minimum period of 60 months; Rs. 5,000/- per month will be deducted from salary towards bond money, refunded without interest after 60 months. Canvassing in any form shall disqualify candidature. CIL does not demand any fee other than the application fee; do not respond to fraudulent agents.
