The notification details the training seats across Graduate and Technician (Diploma) apprentice categories as follows:

Candidates must possess the relevant minimum educational qualifications specified for each category: Category – I Graduate Apprentices: A Degree in Engineering or Technology granted by a Statutory University or an Institution empowered to grant such degree by an Act of Parliament in relevant discipline, or Graduate examination of Professional bodies recognised by State or Central Government as equivalent. Category – II Technician (Diploma) Apprentices: A Diploma in Engineering or Technology granted by a State Council or Board of Technical Education established by a State Government, a University, or an Institution recognised by the State or Central Government in relevant discipline. Candidates with equivalent qualifications must submit an Equivalency Certificate issued by the competent authority. The duration of the apprenticeship training is one year as per the Apprentices (Amendment) Act 1973. Category I Graduate Apprentices receive a stipend of ₹15,000/- per month, while Category II Technician (Diploma) Apprentices receive ₹13,000/- per month. No travel expenses, boarding, or lodging will be provided by CSL during the training period.

Selection is based on short-listing of candidates according to the percentage of marks obtained in the basic prescribed qualification for the respective disciplines. Candidates with the same percentage of marks will be ranked based on seniority in the passing year. Short-listed candidates must attend certificate verification with original and self-attested copies of proof of age, qualification, marks, caste, and disability (if applicable).
