There are a total of 5 vacancies for the Sericulture Assistant post distributed across specific regional centres and institutes under the Central Silk Board.

Candidates applying for the Sericulture Assistant position must meet the prescribed educational and professional qualifications. Experience in silkworm rearing and grainage in the pre-cocoon sector is desirable.

Selected candidates will receive a consolidated monthly remuneration of ₹21,000 plus House Rent Allowance (HRA). The engagement is purely contractual for an initial period of one year at its Central Sericultural Research and Training Institute (CSB-CSRTI), Berhampore, West Bengal, and its associated units. This engagement does not confer any right to regularisation, absorption, or permanent appointment in the Central Silk Board.

Selection will be based solely on performance in a personal interview. The date, time, and venue of the interview will be communicated to eligible candidates through email. Candidates must produce their original certificates and valid identity proof for verification at the time of the interview. No travel allowance, daily allowance, or expenses for lodging and boarding will be provided.
