CSIR CFTRI Recruitment 2026 – Walk-in for Project Assistant I, Project Associate I Posts

A total of 2 vacancies are available under project number GAP000684 titled “Production of soybean based functional foods using microbial resources isolated from traditionally fermented foods of North East India”.

Desirable Qualification/Experience: Experience in fermented probiotics, postbiotics, gut microbiota studies will be preferred.

The upper age limit is 35 years for Project Assistant – I (PA-I). The age of candidates will be treated on the date of the walk-in interview.

Selections are made through a walk-in interview. In the event of a large number of applications, the duly constituted committee will adopt criteria to shortlist candidates through percentage of marks obtained in the essential qualification, higher educational qualifications, desirable qualification/experience, or any other methodology deemed fit.

No candidate will be allowed to appear in the interview without original certificates. No TA/DA will be given to candidates for attending the interview. The total period of engagement of project personnel across CSIR labs cumulatively shall not exceed 06 years. Applicants who have completed the total tenure of 6 years in any CSIR lab/institute as project staff are NOT ELIGIBLE to apply. Selected candidates must submit one month’s prior notice or deposit one month’s stipend in lieu if they wish to discontinue before tenure completion. Canvassing in any form will be treated as a disqualification. The engagement is initially for a period up to March 2027 and may be extendable up to October 2027 based on requirements and project duration.
