How to check the date yourself

• Go to the official NTA CSIR NET site, csirnet.nta.nic.in. You can also check nta.ac.in.
• Open the "Public Notice" or "Latest News" section on the homepage.
• Look for "Joint CSIR-UGC NET December 2026" and open the Information Bulletin PDF, which has the confirmed schedule.
• Check the "NTA Exam Calendar" notice for the tentative dates.
• Register with your email and mobile number so NTA's SMS and email alerts reach you.

Important instructions

• Use only official sources. Check dates, notices, and links on csirnet.nta.nic.in or nta.ac.in. Ignore unofficial sites and anyone claiming to offer "guaranteed" seats.
• Read the Information Bulletin fully. It has the final eligibility, age limit, exam pattern, syllabus, fees, and deadlines. Exam dates stay tentative until it's released.
• Fill the application carefully. Use your own email and mobile number, choose your subject, category, and exam cities correctly, and apply before the last date. The correction window is short.
• Keep documents ready. You'll need a recent photograph, signature, ID proof, and a category certificate if applicable, all in the size and format the bulletin specifies.
• Carry the right items on exam day. Bring the printed admit card and a valid photo ID, and arrive early. The exam centre cannot be changed once allotted.
