Delhi HJS Examination 2026 Selection Process

Selection for the Delhi Higher Judicial Service Examination 2026 is conducted in three successive stages: Preliminary Examination (Objective Type), Mains Examination (Written), and Viva-Voce. Marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination are of qualifying nature only and are not counted in the final merit list. The Preliminary Examination is tentatively scheduled for 26 July 2026 (Sunday) from 11:00 AM to 01:00 PM, carrying 150 marks with 150 MCQs (1 mark each) and 25% negative marking (0.25 marks per wrong answer), to be completed in 2 hours. Minimum qualifying marks are 50% for General category and 45% for SC/ST/PwD candidates. The number of candidates admitted to the Mains Examination shall not exceed twenty times the total number of advertised vacancies per category.
