DTL has notified 65 vacancies across three disciplines, with category-wise reservation as per Government norms. Reservation for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBDs) also applies. For Asstt. Manager (T)-Trainee, identified disabilities include HH, and OL/Dw/AAV/SD/SI, along with MD involving these categories. For Asstt. Manager (Civil)-Trainee, identified disabilities include HH, and OA/OL/LC/Dw/AAV/SD/SI, along with MD involving these categories.

Any additional equivalent qualification will be decided solely by a committee constituted by the Managing Director, DTL, whose decision is final. Only qualifications recognized by AICTE or the appropriate statutory authority, and declared equivalent in writing, will be accepted. Asstt. Manager (T) Trainee-Electrical requires a valid GATE 2026 score in Paper Code EE (Electrical Engineering or equivalent). Asstt. Manager (T) Trainee-Non-Electrical requires a valid GATE 2026 score in Paper Code EC (Electronics & Communication Engineering or equivalent) and/or CS (Computer Science & Engineering/Information Technology or equivalent), as applicable. Asstt. Manager (Civil) Trainee requires a valid GATE 2026 score in Paper Code CE (Civil Engineering or equivalent).

The upper age limit must not exceed 28 years as on the last date for receipt of applications. Only Indian Nationals below 28 years of age are eligible to apply. The Demand Draft must be in favour of Delhi Transco Limited and payable at New Delhi. Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances, so candidates are advised to verify their eligibility before paying the registration fee.

Selected candidates will be placed as Asstt. Manager (T) Trainee/Asstt. Manager (Civil) Trainee in Pay Level-09 with Central DA pattern and other allowances such as House Rent/Accommodation/Conveyance Facility/Medical/LTC, as per company rules. On successful completion of the one-year training, candidates will be absorbed as Assistant Manager (T)/Assistant Manager (Civil) in Pay Level-10, with the same set of Central DA pattern allowances. Selected candidates must execute a service agreement bond to complete the training period and serve the organization for at least three years. The bond amount is INR 5,00,000/- for General/OBC(NCL)/EWS candidates and INR 2,50,000/- for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.

Selection for all three posts is made purely on the basis of GATE 2026 scores in the respective discipline/paper code - no separate written test or interview is mentioned in the notification. Separate merit lists are prepared for Asstt. Manager (T) Trainee-Electrical, Asstt. Manager (T) Trainee-Non-Electrical, and Asstt. Manager (Civil) Trainee. Final selection is based on merit derived from the GATE 2026 score (Normalized Marks out of 100), as per approved selection criteria. Inter-se seniority of appointed Assistant Manager (Technical) candidates is regulated in a 9:1 ratio between the Electrical and Non-Electrical streams.
