DGQA Technician Recruitment 2026 Notification Out - Apply Offline for 14 Semi-Skilled & Skilled Posts

The 14 DGQA Technician vacancies are spread across six establishment codes under different Controllerates/Quality Assurance Establishments. Category-wise distribution as per the notification is shown below. Establishment codes correspond to: SC-009 and SC-009/1 – DGQA Complex, Manovikas Nagar PO, Secunderabad; BLR-006 – Controllerate of Quality Assurance (Radar), JC Nagar PO, Bengaluru; BLR-046 – Senior Quality Assurance Establishment (Electronics), S K Garden, Benson Town PO, Bengaluru; JBP-011 – Senior Quality Assurance Establishment (Electronics), Gun Factory PO, Jabalpur; CHD-002 – Senior Quality Assurance Establishment (Elect & Sys), C/o Ordnance Factory, Chandigarh. Selected candidates are appointed on probation for two years and are liable to serve anywhere within India, including field/remote locations, as per organisational requirement.

Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply. The essential qualification differs for the two posts: Candidates possessing any additional qualification, or pursuing one, as on the application closing date must mention it in the application form.

Candidates must be between 18 and 27 years of age as on the application closing date. Date of birth must be as per the 10th/Matriculation certificate or a Birth Certificate issued by a competent authority - Aadhaar Card is not accepted as proof of date of birth. Age relaxation for a reserved category will remain provisional until the appointing authority verifies the supporting documents. SC/ST/EWS/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen candidates must enclose the latest Caste/relevant certificate from a competent authority (District Magistrate and equivalent, Chief/Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, or a Revenue Officer not below Tehsildar rank/Sub-Divisional Officer of the candidate's area). Recruited candidates will draw pay as per the 7th CPC Pay Matrix: Technician (Semi Skilled): Pay Matrix Level-1 (Rs. 18,000 – 56,900) Technician (Skilled): Pay Matrix Level-2 (Rs. 19,900 – 63,200) In addition to basic pay, selected candidates are entitled to Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, Transport Allowance, Children Education Allowance, Leave Travel Concession, medical facilities, CSD facilities, and other allowances/advances as per extant Government of India rules. Recruited candidates will be covered under the National Pension Scheme (NPS)/Unified Pension Scheme (UPS) as applicable.

The notification specifies the closing date as a number of days from publication rather than a fixed calendar date; candidates should confirm the exact closing date against the precise Employment News publication date.

No separate application fee is mentioned in the notification. However, every applicant must submit one self-addressed envelope (size 30cm x 12cm) affixed with a postal stamp of Rs. 55/- along with the application, for despatch of the admit card. The organisation will not be responsible for non-receipt of the admit card due to an incorrect or incomplete address on this envelope.

Selection is done through a Written Test followed by a Trade Test - there is no interview . Written Test: Objective type, Multiple Choice Questions only; no negative marking for wrong answers; duration 90 minutes; 100 questions for 100 marks. Question papers for Parts (i), (ii), and (iv) are set in English and Hindi; Part (iii) is in English only. Candidates are shortlisted for the Trade Test based on written test marks and category of reservation. The Trade Test carries 100 marks, with a minimum qualifying mark of 40. The final merit list is prepared post both tests, based on Trade and Establishment. In case of a tie, resolution is by (1) older date of birth ranked higher, then (2) higher marks in Numerical Aptitude, then Reasoning, then General Awareness.
