Defence Institute of Advanced Technology (DIAT) is a Deemed to be University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956. It works under the aegis of the Department of Defence Research & Development, Ministry of Defence, Govt. of India, and is located at Girinagar, Pune - 411 025. The Board of Apprenticeship Training, Western Region (BOAT-WR) governs this apprenticeship training.

Both posts carry the same monthly consolidated stipend of ₹12,300/- (Including 50% DBT), which the notice lists for Graduate Apprentices. Candidates report at DIAT, Girinagar, Near Khadakwasla Dam, Pune-411025 at 1100 Hrs on 30 October 2026. DIAT will scrutinise their original documents. Graduate or diploma trainee apprentices will be provisionally selected based on their performance in the test / interview. DIAT will display the list of these candidates on the institute website. Selection is provisional and depends on later verification of certificates. A candidate who does not meet the eligibility norms, or who gave incorrect or false information, will have the candidature cancelled. This can happen at any stage of the engagement or afterwards. If a dispute or ambiguity arises in the selection process, the Institute's decision is final.
