The DIPR Apprentice Vacancy 2026 is distributed across seven trades. Selected apprentices will be paid the applicable minimum stipend prescribed for their trade, on a monthly basis through the prescribed banking mode. The stipend ranges from ₹9,600/- to ₹10,560/- per month depending on the trade, as detailed in the trade-wise vacancy table above. Selected candidates must furnish valid bank account details linked with Aadhaar, wherever required, at the time of joining.

The DIPR Apprentice selection process consists of the following steps, as per the notification: A duly constituted Board, approved by the Competent Authority, will scrutinise applications and shortlist candidates based on the prescribed eligibility and selection criteria and the number of vacancies available. Selection will be made on the basis of marks obtained in the respective qualifying examination/trade, followed by an interaction/interview, as applicable, depending on the number of candidates applying for the advertised vacancies. The final merit list will be prepared category-wise (General/OBC/SC/ST), as applicable under the rules. Offer letters to selected candidates will be issued through email only.

The duration of apprenticeship training is 12 months and cannot be extended under any circumstances. Every apprentice will be treated as a trainee and not as a worker; labour laws will not apply except as provided under the Apprentices Act, 1961. DIPR will not provide government quarters, hostel accommodation, or transport facilities during the training period. Selected candidates must submit a Police Verification Certificate after joining. The Contract of Apprenticeship will be executed online through the NAPS-Apprenticeship Portal. On completion of training, apprentices will undergo assessment as per the applicable procedure, and results will be considered for issuance of the National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC). Completion of apprenticeship does not confer any right to regular employment at DIPR or extension of the training period. DIPR reserves the right to increase, decrease, w
