| Details | Candidates must have completed a 4-year Degree in Marine Engineering from any IMU-affiliated college / DG Shipping approved institute / State or Central Government recognised institute / AICTE-approved institute. Candidates holding a Graduate Marine Engineering certificate after completing a 4-year Engineering Degree are also eligible. Selection Process
- Fleet Personnel candidates will be selected based solely on their Interview performance. The minimum qualifying score is 50 marks out of 100.
- Selection is based on a combined score of 100 marks:
- 80% weightage - Marks obtained in prescribed qualification 20% weightage - Interview performance Minimum cut-off: 50% in each component separately (i.e.
- 40/80 in qualification + 10/20 in interview)
- For GME candidates
- the percentage is calculated based on the 4-year Engineering Degree marks.
- Selection is based on marks (no interview):
- 50% weightage - SSC / 10th Class marks 50% weightage - GPR Exit Examination marks

- Appear at the walk-in interview venue with original documents and one set of self-attested photocopies on the scheduled date.
- Candidates currently on board (internal floating staff) who cannot sign off must attend via VC mode with the recommendation of the Master concerned.
