DetailsCandidates must have completed a 4-year Degree in Marine Engineering from any IMU-affiliated college / DG Shipping approved institute / State or Central Government recognised institute / AICTE-approved institute. Candidates holding a Graduate Marine Engineering certificate after completing a 4-year Engineering Degree are also eligible. Candidates who already hold or are about to obtain MEO Class IV COC are not eligible for TME. | Candidates must hold a 4-year Degree in one of the following disciplines from a State/Central Government or AICTE recognised institute: | Electrical Engineering Electronics Engineering Electrical & Electronics Engineering Electronics & Telecommunication / Communication Engineering Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering | Additionally, candidates must have completed a 4-month Electro Technical Officer (ETO) course from a DG Shipping approved institute and possess basic STCW 2010 certificates. | Candidates must have passed SSC / 10th Class from a recognised education board AND completed a Pre-Sea GP Rating course, passing the Exit Examination approved by DG Shipping with a minimum 60% aggregate marks. Selection Process

  • Fleet Personnel candidates will be selected based solely on their Interview performance. The minimum qualifying score is 50 marks out of 100.
  • Selection is based on a combined score of 100 marks:
  • 80% weightage - Marks obtained in prescribed qualification 20% weightage - Interview performance Minimum cut-off: 50% in each component separately (i.e.
  • 40/80 in qualification + 10/20 in interview)
  • For GME candidates
  • the percentage is calculated based on the 4-year Engineering Degree marks.
  • Selection is based on marks (no interview):
  • 50% weightage - SSC / 10th Class marks 50% weightage - GPR Exit Examination marks
