Steps to Check and Download the DTE Maharashtra Polytechnic CAP Round 3 Allotment Letter

• Visit the official website: poly26.dtemaharashtra.gov.in (post-SSC diploma) or dsd26.dtemaharashtra.gov.in (direct second-year/lateral-entry diploma).
• Click on the Candidate Login option.
• Enter your Application ID, password, and the CAPTCHA code.
• Navigate to the Round 3 Allotment link on your dashboard.
• View your detailed seat allotment summary on screen.
• Download the allotment letter in PDF format.
• Save digital copies and take multiple printouts for physical submission during institute document verification.

If you have forgotten your password, use the "Forgot Password" option on the candidate login page, enter your Application ID and registered mobile number, and reset your credentials using the OTP sent to you.

Understanding Your Allotment Status

• Allotted: You have been assigned a seat in your selected polytechnic and branch based on merit.
• No Change: Your Round 2 seat has been retained; you have not been upgraded to a higher preference.
• Not Allotted: Your merit rank did not fall within the cutoff range for any of your chosen options.

If you received a seat upgrade in Round 3, your earlier allotment is automatically cancelled and released to other candidates in the merit chain; you must report only to the newly allotted institute. If you had opted for "Float" in Round 2 and received no upgrade, your previous seat remains valid and you must report to that same college within the Round 3 timeline.

Seat Acceptance Process and Fee

• Fresh seat allottees must pay a mandatory, non-refundable online seat acceptance fee of ₹1,000 via net banking, UPI, or debit card within the seat acceptance window.
• Candidates who already paid this fee in Round 1 or Round 2 are exempted from paying again, provided they complete online self-verification.
• The seat acceptance portal is open strictly from July 31 to August 1, 2026. DTE Maharashtra has stated it will not grant extensions for late submissions.

Reporting to the Allotted Institute

After completing online seat acceptance, candidates must physically report to their allotted polytechnic institute between July 31 and August 1, 2026, during regular working hours, to complete document verification and fee payment. Receiving an allotment does not by itself confirm admission - admission is confirmed only after successful document verification, reporting, and fee payment at the institute. Candidates who fail to report within the stipulated period will forfeit their allotted seat.

Fee Refund Policy on Cancellation

Reservation, Special Quota and Fee Concession Notes

• Seats reserved for PwD candidates, dependents of Defense personnel, and female candidates are also allotted through Round 3; allottees under these quotas must carry the relevant certificates issued by competent medical or military authorities for verification.
• Admitted SC, ST, VJ/NT, and SBC candidates are eligible for state tuition fee reimbursement and should apply online on the official MahaDBT portal after admission, retaining physical fee receipts for future scholarship claim verification.
• Reserved-category candidates who fail to produce valid category or validity certificates will have their allotment converted to the Open category or cancelled entirely.

What Happens After Round 3: Spot Admissions

After Round 3 reporting closes on August 1, 2026, the college-wise total of remaining unfilled vacancies will be published on the DTE portal and on individual college noticeboards. Candidates who remain unallotted should track these vacancy lists to apply for institutional-level spot admissions directly.

Important Instructions to Follow

• Verify all personal details shown on your provisional allotment summary - category, gender, qualifying marks, and any special reservation claims - against your original certificates.
• If you notice a discrepancy, raise a grievance through e-Scrutiny or Physical Scrutiny in your login before the reporting deadline; e-Scrutiny approval is provisional and subject to physical verification at the college.
• Avoid logging in from multiple browser tabs or devices simultaneously, as this can trigger session timeouts.
• Rely only on official DTE Maharashtra notifications for timing and process updates; avoid unverified social media information.
• Take a clear printout of the allotment letter with the official DTE watermark, security stamp, and barcode - incomplete printouts may be rejected during scrutiny.
