The 1,599 posts are distributed across five units/establishments under ECoR. Category-wise breakup (UR/SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD/ESM) for each trade is provided in the official notification's Annexure A; the totals below are as notified per unit. Category-wise breakup for the grand total, as notified: PwBD reservation is 4% and Ex-Servicemen (ESM) reservation is 3%, both horizontal and included within the overall notified slots (not additional). The number of training slots is provisional and may increase or decrease depending on the actual needs of the Administration at the time of finalizing selection. Selected candidates will be paid a monthly stipend at the prescribed rate during the training period, as per extant rules and directives issued by the Railway Board from time to time. The notification does not specify an exact stipend amount. No hostel accommodation is provided during training - apprentices must make their own arrangements.
