The 140 ITI Apprentice vacancies are divided across three trades, each with its own category-wise reservation breakdown. The applicant must be registered on the NAPS portal in the same trade as the application. The applicant must have secured at least 40% marks in the qualifying examination , i.e., in ITI. A candidate can apply for one trade in either West Bengal or Jharkhand only . If a candidate applies for both, the application will be rejected. Candidates can apply for ANY ONE DISCIPLINE ONLY ; applying for more than one discipline results in summary rejection of the application.

Stipend for ECL ITI apprentices is fixed per trade and paid monthly during the one-year training period. These are the confirmed figures from the notification.

The ECL ITI Apprentices notification does not mention any application fee. Candidates can apply by sending their application and enclosures by post without making any payment.

Selection for ECL ITI Apprentice posts is based on merit in the qualifying ITI examination, followed by document verification and a formal engagement process.
