Engineering Department UT Chandigarh Executive Engineer Recruitment 2026 – Apply Offline

The Engineering Department UT Chandigarh has announced a total of 2 vacancies for the Executive Engineer (Electrical) post on a deputation basis.

Officers under the Central Government, State Governments, Union Territory Administrations, Public Sector Undertakings, recognized Universities, recognized Research Institutions, Semi Government, Autonomous Bodies, or Statutory Organizations are eligible: Holding analogous posts on a regular basis in the parent cadre or department; OR With five years of service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in posts in Pay Band-3 of Rs. 15,600 - 39,100 with Grade Pay of Rs. 6,600 or equivalent in the parent cadre or department.

The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation (including short term contract) shall not exceed 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications.

The notification does not mention any application fee.

The selection process involves the assessment of Curriculum Vitae and supporting documents by the Selection Committee.

Applications not accompanied by supporting certificates for qualification and experience will not be processed and will be rejected forthwith. Departmental officers in the feeder category who are in direct line of promotion are not eligible for deputation/absorption. Deputationists are not eligible for consideration for appointment by promotion. Period of deputation/ISTC shall ordinarily not exceed 4 years. Candidates who apply for the post on deputation basis will not be allowed to withdraw their candidature subsequently. Incomplete applications forwarded without proper channel or lacking required clearances will be rejected.
