Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), ESIC Medical College, PGIMSR & Hospital, Kalaburagi has officially released Notification No. 532/GLBMC/A/12/12/RCT-SR/2025 dated 03 September 2026 for recruitment of Teaching Faculty and Senior Residents. The registration and interview will be held on two separate days as per the official notification. No candidate will be entertained for registration after 10:30 AM on 16.09.2026, and candidates are advised to report by 9:00 AM at the venue on the scheduled dates.

Vacancies are spread across 11 Super Specialty departments and are category-wise (UR, OBC, SC, ST). As per the notification, the number of vacancies is provisional and may increase or decrease without prior intimation.

Qualification and experience for Professor and Associate Professor posts are as per NMC (National Medical Commission) Norms published in the Gazette of India dated 30.06.2025 and 04.07.2025. Qualification and experience for the Senior Resident post are also as per NMC Norms published in the Gazette of India dated 30.06.2025 and 04.07.2025. ESIC has adopted a consolidated remuneration structure for contractual faculty, as per ESIC Headquarters letters dated 13.04.2022 and 08.12.2022 (updated from time to time). Travelling Allowance (TA) and Dearness Allowance (DA) on TA are payable as applicable. The notification also states there is no claim for services such as PF, Pension, Gratuity, Medical Allowance, Seniority, Promotion or Leave, although selected faculty are entitled to Earned Leave and Half Pay Leave as admissible to a temporary Government servant under the Central Civil Services (Leave) Rules, 1972, and Senior Residents are entitled to 2.5 Casual Leave on completion of a calendar month.

Applications submitted on the day of the walk-in interview, along with the requisite fee, are scrutinized by the Institute's scrutiny committee; only eligible candidates are allowed to appear before the selection committee. If the number of applicants is large, the selection committee may devise shortlisting criteria, which may include a Screening Test. 50% of the total marks is the criterion for eligibility for selection. Selection is made on the basis of a personal interview conducted by a duly constituted selection board. Candidates not covered under the SC/ST/OBC reservation scheme, whose family's gross annual income is below Rs. 8.00 Lakh, may be identified as Economically Weaker Section (EWS).
