ESIC Recruitment 2026 - Apply Walkin for 47 Specialist and Senior Resident Posts

Vacancies are split across four separate recruitment categories, each with its own category-wise reservation. The Corporation has noted that vacancy numbers may increase or decrease depending on actual requirement at the time of interview. 1. Specialist (Full Time/Part Time, Contractual) - 13 posts 2. Senior Resident - 28 posts 3. Super Specialist (Cardiology) - 1 post 4. Senior Resident (against GDMO) - 5 posts

Educational qualification and age limits differ by post. Specialist: PG Degree or Diploma in the concerned specialty. Age must be less than 69 years as on the date of interview. Senior Resident: PG Degree or Diploma in the concerned specialty from a recognized university (non-PG candidates need 2 years of experience in the concerned department). Age must not exceed 45 years, with relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates as per rules. Super Specialist (Cardiology): Post-graduate qualification in the concerned specialty along with a DM/M.Ch in the concerned super specialty, and registration with the Medical Council of India or a State Medical Council. Age must not exceed 69 years. Senior Resident (against GDMO): PG Degree/Diploma or MBBS Degree from a recognized university with at least 2 years of working experience in the same discipline. Age must not exceed 45 years, with relaxation for SC

Selection is through a walk-in interview held on 28 July 2026 at 10:00 A.M. at the Office of the Medical Superintendent, ESIC Hospital, Katha, Baddi. The decision of the Interview Board is final on all aspects of selection, and selection is also subject to candidates proving their medical fitness and verification of character and antecedents.

Specialist and Senior Resident posts: Emoluments are on a "no work no pay" basis, as per Central Government rules adopted by ESIC. Super Specialist (Cardiology): Remuneration is on a consolidated basis, as per ESIC Headquarters letters F.No Z-17/11/1/2007/Med IV dated 13.04.2022 and U-13/14/38/2020-MedI(ESIC/SC) dated 02.02.2021.

Selected candidates must pay a security deposit of Rs 50,000 through a Demand Draft in favour of "ESIC Fund Account No. 1," payable at Baddi, at the time of joining. This deposit is refundable after successful completion of the contract period on production of a "No Dues Certificate." Additionally, selected candidates must execute an agreement with the Medical Superintendent on a non-judicial stamp paper of Rs 100, the cost of which is borne by the candidate. No TA/DA is payable for attending the interview or for joining.

Candidates must carry original certificates along with one set of self-attested photocopies, plus two recent passport-size photographs, covering: Age proof MBBS Certificate Caste certificate for SC/ST/OBC candidates (OBC certificate must not be more than one year old as on the date of interview) PG Degree/Diploma Certificate/DM.M.Ch Certificate State Medical Council/MCI Registration Certificate with the relevant qualification No Objection Certificate from the present employer, if applicable Experience certificate, if applicable Income and asset certificate (as per DOPT letter No. 36039/1/2019-Estt.(Res) dated 31/01/2019) for candidates claiming EWS reservation

Candidates who have already completed 3 years of Senior Residency need not apply under the Senior Residency Scheme. Accreditation with NBEMS for DNB courses is under process at ESIC MH Baddi. Vacancies may increase or decrease depending on the actual requirement at the time of interview. Preference for Specialist posts will be given to full-time contractual specialists; part-time specialist candidates will be considered only if full-time specialists are not available. Absence from duty for 15 days without permission will amount to voluntary abandonment of the contract. The engagement does not confer any right to regular appointment or absorption in ESIC, and no service benefits such as PF, Pension, Gratuity, or leave (for part-time specialists) are admissible.
