Notification Release Date: 24.07.2026 Interview for Professor, Associate Professor & Assistant Professor: 03.08.2026 (Monday) Interview for Senior Resident & Medical Officer: 05.08.2026 (Wednesday) Reporting Time: 09:00 AM to 10:00 AM (candidates reporting after 10:00 AM will be considered absent) Age Reckoning Date: 31.07.2026 Note: The application form in the notification lists the eligibility cut-off date as 31-07-2027 in the "How to Apply" clause, while the age limit clause separately specifies 31.07.2026 as the reckoning date. Candidates are advised to verify the exact cut-off date from the official notification or by contacting ESIC MCH Bhubaneswar before the interview date.

A total of 122 posts are being filled across five categories. The category-wise (UR/EWS/OBC/SC/ST) break-up for each post is as follows:

Teaching Faculty (Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor): Not exceeding 67 years Senior Resident (Pre/Para-clinical): Not exceeding 50 years Senior Resident (Clinical): Not exceeding 45 years Medical Officer: Not exceeding 35 years Age relaxation is applicable as per prevailing Government of India norms. Retired or currently working Professors may also apply for eligible posts.

For Teaching Faculty: Qualifications must be in accordance with the latest guidelines and minimum standard requirements of the National Medical Commission (NMC/MCI), as per Gazette Notification No. CG-DL-E-05072025-264399 dated 30.06.2025. For Medical Officers: A recognised MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule, Second Schedule, or Part-II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Candidates with qualifications under Part-II of the Third Schedule must also satisfy the conditions of sub-section (3) of section 13 of the same Act, and must have completed compulsory rotating internship. All candidates must possess updated Medical Registration with the NMC or the concerned State Medical Council; candidates without updated registration must submit proof of having applied for it.

Allowances are admissible as per ESIC Headquarters norms and ESIC Headquarters Office Memorandum No. Z-11012/51/2022-MED-VI dated 08.12.2022, or any subsequent orders. Non-medical officers, if selected, are not entitled to Non-Practicing Allowance (NPA).

The fee must be submitted on the date of the walk-in interview. Fees once paid are non-refundable under any circumstances.

Selection is based on the candidate's acquired academic credentials and performance in the interview, conducted by a duly constituted selection board. The result will be published only in the Recruitments section of the official website, www.esic.gov.in . The offer of appointment will be sent through e-mail only. Selected candidates must join as per the instructions mentioned in the offer of appointment.

No private practice is permitted in any capacity after joining as teaching faculty/Medical Officer at ESIC MCH Bhubaneswar. Contractual staff are not entitled to service benefits such as Provident Fund, Pension, Gratuity, Medical Allowance, Medical Benefits, Seniority, or Promotion. Hostel accommodation/quarters will be provided to the extent possible but cannot be claimed as a matter of right; if availed, no HRA will be payable. Any absence exceeding 7 days without prior approval will be treated as voluntary abandonment, leading to automatic termination and forfeiture of one month's salary. Faculty must record attendance both manually and through the Aadhaar Enabled Biometric Attendance System (AEBAS). The valid OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) Certificate must not be issued more than one year prior to the cut-off date, and must be issued by an officer not below the rank of Sub-Divisional Officer
