ESIC Teaching Faculty Recruitment 2026 - Apply Online for 59 Senior Resident, Professor and More Posts

The Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India has officially released dated 24-07-2026 for the recruitment of 59 Teaching Faculty, Senior Resident, and Tutor posts at ESIC Medical College & Hospital, Pandeypur, Varanasi . The notification contains complete details regarding post-wise vacancies, eligibility criteria, age limit, salary, application fee, selection process, required documents, interview schedule, and application procedure. Candidates must send the scanned Application Form along with supporting documents to [email protected] before the deadline. On the day of the interview, the original Application Form, original supporting documents, and the original Demand Draft (interview fee, if applicable) must be carried to the Office of the Dean, ESIC Medical College & Hospital, 2nd Floor, Pandeypur, Varanasi (UP)-221002, for document verification between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM.

A total of 10 Professor , 13 Associate Professor , 11 Assistant Professor , and 15 Senior Resident posts (49 posts in total) are notified across 20 departments, along with 10 Tutor posts. The category-wise vacancy break-up for each post is given below.

10 Tutor

As highlighted in the notification, any candidate can be appointed against an unfilled vacant reserved category post for 44 days, with a provision for possible extension. Candidates from the unreserved category can apply against EWS vacancies.

Teaching Faculty (Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor): 69 years (not exceeding) Senior Resident: Up to 45 years Tutor: Up to 40 years The maximum tenure of engagement will be till the candidate attains 70 years of age for teaching faculty, whichever is earlier, provided other rules and regulations are satisfied. Educational qualifications for all posts are as per NMC (MCI) guidelines, as stipulated in Gazette Notification No. CG-DL-E-05072025-264399 dated 30.06.2025. Pay and allowances are as per OM No. Z-11012/51/2022-Med VI dated 08.12.2022: In the case of engagement of retired employees/pensioners, they may be allowed to draw total pay without any deduction, as this is not treated as a case of re-employment under the Central Civil Services (Fixation of Pay of Re-Employed Pensioner) Orders, 1986. Such retired employees/pensioners can continue to draw pension and dearness relief on pension during their period of contractual engagement.

Mode of Payment: Through Demand Draft in favor of "ESI Fund A/c No.-1", payable at Varanasi. The fee, once paid, will not be refunded under any circumstances.

Tenure of all posts is 1 (one) year, extendable up to 3 years, or attainment of 70 years of age, whichever is earlier. The contractual engagement may be terminated/discontinued from either side by giving one month's prior notice, without assigning any reason. In case of spot resignation by a selected candidate, one month's salary must be deposited to the ESIC account through challan. No claim for service benefits such as PF, Pension, Gratuity, Medical Allowance, Medical Benefits, Seniority, or Promotion will be admissible. Selection will be made on the basis of the candidate's acquired academic credentials and performance in the interview before the Selection Board. The result will be displayed on the website www.esic.gov.in, and the Offer of Appointment will be sent through email. Selected candidates will have to join as per the instructions mentioned in the offer of appointment. The notification does not mention any written examination as part of the selection process; selection is based on academic credentials and interview performance only.

Candidates should ascertain their eligibility themselves and report for the interview on the scheduled date and time.
