Relevant experience includes design, planning, technical specifications, contract administration, installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance and statutory approvals for metro, railway, LRT, suburban rail or related systems. The exact experience area varies according to the post.

Age and experience will be calculated as of 19 September 2026. The age limit does not apply to existing GMRCL employees, except officials re-employed after superannuation.

The revised IDA pay scales range from ₹35,000–1,10,000 for Engineer – Senior Grade to ₹1,00,000–2,60,000 for Additional General Manager. Additional General Manager post-superannuation pay: ₹1,45,000 per month. Joint General Manager post-superannuation pay: ₹1,45,000 per month. Deputy General Manager post-superannuation pay: ₹1,00,000 per month. Deputation pay and benefits will be governed by the applicable terms and conditions. Other benefits, group medical coverage and group personal accident insurance may be provided according to GMRC policy.

The number of advertised vacancies may change depending on organizational requirements. Possessing the minimum qualification and experience does not guarantee an interview call. Government, PSU and Metro Rail employees applying on deputation must submit the required NOC. Preference may be given to candidates who have worked in Gujarat for at least three years and know Gujarati. Preference may also be given to candidates working in the same grade or the immediate lower grade with two years of experience. Original certificates must be produced during document verification. Incomplete applications may be rejected. GMRC may offer a grade lower than the one applied for. Selected candidates may be posted at Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Surat or another GMRC project in Gujarat.
