B.E. or B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a government-recognized university or institute. Experience in metro, railway, flyover, road underbridge, bridge or multi-storeyed building construction. For Chief General Manager level: 23 years of post-qualification experience in a reputed private organization; or 20 years in government, Railways, PSU or Metro Rail organizations, including the prescribed executive and senior-grade experience. For General Manager level: 20 years of post-qualification experience in a reputed private organization; or 17 years in government, Railways, PSU or Metro Rail organizations, including at least 14 years in executive positions. Candidates with experience in completing projects on time as heads of site teams will be preferred. B.E. or B.Tech in Civil Engineering. Age and experience will be calculated as of 19 September 2026. The age limit does not apply to eligible serving GMRC employees. However, this exemption does not apply to officials re-employed after superannuation.

For candidates appointed on deputation, remuneration will be governed by the applicable standard terms and conditions. Additional benefits, group medical coverage and group personal accident insurance will be provided according to GMRC policies.

The initial appointment will be for a minimum period of three years. It may be extended up to five years based on performance and the applicable terms and conditions of GMRC.

The recruitment notification does not specify an application fee.

The GMRC Civil recruitment process will include the following stages: Application screening and shortlisting Document Verification Personal Interview Medical Examination The document verification will be conducted before the interview. Candidates must carry their original certificates. Those who fail to produce the required original documents will not be permitted to attend the interview. The interview will assess the candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience, expertise, aptitude and physical fitness. The date, time and venue of the interview will be communicated through the registered email address.

Only experienced candidates who satisfy the prescribed criteria should apply. The number of vacancies may increase or decrease. Possessing the minimum qualification or experience does not guarantee an interview call. All experience must be post-qualification experience. Government, PSU, Railway and Metro Rail employees should apply through the proper channel where applicable. A No Objection Certificate must be submitted on or before the interview date. Preference will be given to candidates who have worked in Gujarat for at least three years and know Gujarati. Selected candidates may be posted in Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Surat or any other GMRC project in Gujarat. GMRC may offer a lower grade than the post applied for.
