Journeyman posts require 10th Pass and relevant National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) or National Trade Certificate (NTC) qualifications. Driver (Vehicle) posts require a valid Commercial LMV Driving Licence and six years of relevant driving experience. Driver applicants must have a clean driving record without major accidents, police complaints related to accidents, serious traffic violations, reckless driving or driving under the influence of alcohol during the preceding six years. The maximum age limit differs for Journeyman and Driver (Vehicle) posts. Age is calculated as on 1 October 2026 . The maximum age after all applicable relaxations must not exceed 56 years. Relaxation is subject to the relevant reservation category and notification conditions.

Selected Journeymen will undergo two years of training on a fixed monthly stipend. PF contributions and applicable statutory deductions will be made according to the company's rules. Medical and hospitalization benefits are subject to the notified conditions. After successful completion of the two-year training, Journeymen may be considered for absorption into the permanent Semi-Skilled (SSK) grade, subject to performance, vacancies, medical fitness, disciplinary clearance and organizational requirements. The Driver (Vehicle) post carries a pay scale of Rs. 20,110 - 3% - Rs. 70,390 in Skilled Grade-III, along with applicable benefits. The pay scale is subject to revision under the company's rules and does not represent a fixed in-hand salary.

The application fee is Rs. 472 for candidates who do not qualify for an exemption. Payment Mode: Online Payment Gateway through the prescribed recruitment portal. The fee is non-refundable, and no other payment mode is accepted.

The written examination for both recruitment categories is an OMR-based test consisting of 100 objective questions for 100 marks , with a duration of two hours. The qualifying marks differ for Journeyman and Driver (Vehicle). The Practical Trade Test carries 50 marks and is qualifying in nature. Candidates must obtain at least 50%, or the applicable relaxed qualifying percentage, to be considered for final merit. The final merit list will be prepared using written examination marks among candidates who qualify in the required Practical Trade Test and other applicable selection stages.
