Qualification / Eligibility
Candidates must possess: | (i) A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology (excluding Civil Engineering) from a recognized University/institution under UGC Act, 1956; | OR | (ii) A Diploma in Engineering or Technology (excluding Civil Engineering) from the Technical Examination Board or a recognized institution, with about 2 years of practical work experience as a technical worker (not as labour) in Government, Government undertaking, Board, or any large-scale industry/company under the Companies Act, 2013; | AND | (iii) Basic knowledge of computer application as prescribed in Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967; | AND | (iv) Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both. | Note: Candidates without computer knowledge certificate at the time of application may still apply, but must produce the certificate before appointment, otherwise their selection will be cancelled. | Eligible Engineering/Technology branches include (selected): | Automobile, Chemical, Electrical, Electronics, Information Technology, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, Metallurgy, Plastic, Mechanical, Rubber, Computer, Textile, Printing - and all their specializations as listed in the detailed notification. Exam Pattern
The examination will be a single-stage MCQ-based CBRT/OMR competitive exam with two parts in one question paper. Total duration: 3 hours (180 minutes).
