GSSSB Recruitment 2026 - Apply Online for 41 Research Assistant, Statistical Assistant Posts

There are 41 total vacancies across two Class-3 posts under this GSSSB Recruitment 2026 notification. The category-wise breakup is given below (category codes: UR – Unreserved, EWS – Economically Weaker Section, SC – Scheduled Caste, ST – Scheduled Tribe, SEBC – Socially and Educationally Backward Class). As on 23/09/2026, candidates must be not less than 18 years and not more than 37 years of age. Age relaxation is available as per the table below (all relaxations subject to a maximum age of 45 years, except where noted). Selected candidates will receive a fixed monthly salary for the first five years, after which they become eligible for the regular pay scale (as per the 7th Pay Commission) subject to satisfactory service - and subject to the outcome of pending Supreme Court SLP Nos. 14124/2012 and 14125/2012.

Application fee must be paid online (debit card, internet banking, UPI, or wallet) after submitting the form, by 26 September 2026 (11:59 PM). A transaction fee applies in addition to the exam fee. The fee is refunded only to candidates who actually appear for the examination; it is not refunded to those who do not appear.

Selection for both Research Assistant and Statistical Assistant is through a single-stage Computer Based Response Test (CBRT)/OMR-based objective (MCQ) competitive examination, held in one paper divided into Part-A and Part-B.
