Diploma in Civil Engineering obtained from an Institutions recognised by the Government or any of the Universities established or incorporated by or under the Central or State Act in India; or any other educational institutions recognised as such or declared to be deemed as University under Section-3 of the University Grants Commission Act
  2. 1956; OR posses an equivalent qualification recognised by the Government: Provided that the candidate holding Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering shall not be eligible to apply. Have passed one/two years Surveyor course from the Industrial Training Institute recognised by the Government. Basic knowledge of computer application as prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules
