Women possessing higher educational qualifications may also apply. Selection will be based on the prescribed merit criteria, including educational qualifications and marks.

The candidate must have completed 18 years and must not have crossed the applicable maximum age on the final date for submitting the application.

These are honorary-service positions. The selected candidates will receive the honorarium prescribed for the respective post.

Selection will be made through a merit list prepared according to the applicable recruitment rules. The merit list will consider the candidate's educational qualification and marks. A separate online merit list will be prepared for each Anganwadi centre. Existing Anganwadi Helpers applying for Worker posts may receive preference according to the applicable Women and Child Development Department rules.
