Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University (HNBGU), Srinagar Garhwal, has released the first merit list for admission to the B.Sc. (Honours/Hons. with Research) Mathematics Group for the 2026-27 academic session. The notice, dated 26 July 2026, was issued by the School of Sciences and is signed by Dr. Jitendra, Convener, B.Sc. (Hons., Maths Group) I Semester Admission Committee. Selection is based on CUET scores.

Important Dates: Category-Wise Counselling Schedule

Candidates must attend counselling and physical document verification strictly on the date assigned to their category and serial number range, as per the table below.

Merit List Category Breakup

The 570-candidate first merit list is divided into four category blocks:

• Unreserved (UR): S.No. 1 to 280
• EWS: S.No. 281 to 311
• OBC Non-Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL): S.No. 312 to 477
• SC: S.No. 478 to 559
• ST: S.No. 560 to 570

How to Attend Counselling

• Report to Senate Hall, DSW Building, Birla Campus, H.N.B. Garhwal University, Srinagar Garhwal, Uttarakhand on the date assigned to your category and serial number.
• Counselling runs from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on each scheduled day.
• Carry all original documents listed above, along with the required self-attested photocopies.
• Complete physical verification of documents and certificates as instructed by the Admission Committee.
• Deposit the admission fee within the due date and time specified during counselling.

Important Instructions

• Seats in each subject are limited; Major/Minor and additional subject allotment under NEP will depend on merit rank at the time of counselling.
• If a candidate offered a seat does not deposit the fee within the due date and time, the candidature will be treated as cancelled.
• Non-submission of required documents, any discrepancy in documents, or false information found during verification will result in cancellation of the offered admission.
• OBC certificates must strictly follow the Central Government format; EWS certificates must be current for this financial year.
• Candidates from outside Uttarakhand must bring an original Police Verification Report.
