Indian Council of Medical Research - National Institute for Tribal Health Research (ICMR-NITHR), Jabalpur, under the Department of Health Research, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, has released the ICMR-NITHR Recruitment 2026 notification for the recruitment of Project Research Scientist, Project Administrative Officer, Project Field Officer, Project Technical Support, Senior Project Assistant, Project Assistant Multipurpose and Project MTS posts. A total of 25 vacancies across 22 contractual posts have been announced through walk-in interviews scheduled on 05 and 06 October 2026. Consolidated monthly salary ranges from ₹18,000 (Project MTS, Project Technical Support I) to ₹78,000 + 20% HRA (Project Research Scientist III), depending on the post.

Selection is made through a walk-in interview conducted by the selection committee at ICMR NITHR, Jabalpur. Only eligible candidates as per essential qualification and age criteria will be allowed to appear. Candidates must carry the duly filled application form with original and photocopies of certificates. Late, delayed, or incomplete applications will be summarily rejected without intimation. Meeting the essential qualification does not guarantee selection. Selected candidates must produce original documents before joining; if found ineligible, selection will be cancelled immediately.

All posts are purely temporary and co-terminable with the respective project. Age is reckoned from the date of the walk-in interview. Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC is as per DoPT/Government of India norms; no relaxation for unreserved posts. Persons already in regular time-scale government service are not eligible.
